My main research interests focus on the interface of computer science, artificial intelligence and operations research. Most of my publications deal with the development of solution procedures for problems in areas such as production planning and scheduling, routing and network design in telecommunications, combinatorial optimization on graphs, and optimization of simulations. Advancing the methodology and applicability of tabu search and scatter search is also one of my main research goals.
