This page was originally where I kept the sample course materials for our Excel-based math class for undergraduate business students (MATH 1112). In redoing the site, I moved everything, including information about the exemption exam, to this "business math class" folder. I want the materials to be accessible to people who don't have the course number handy.
Most business schools have a very traditional approach to their math for undergraduate students, offering some version of Finite Math and Business Calculus. We used to have that as the requirement, too. In 2013, the Leeds faculty voted unanimously to adopt this new, Excel-based approach to math for undergraduate business students. As of this writing, over two-thousand undergrad students have taken the new class.
