Class Project—“Deliverables”

 

1.  Description of Work

·      Description of organization

·      How you conducted your job analysis--and why you chose those strategies

2.  Job Description

·      See example in handout

·      Include copy of O*Net, though yours does not need to agree with it

3.  List of Performance Attributes

·      Define carefully and explain logic

·      Should be based on (1) task analysis, (2) Risk Factors, and (3) Fit Factors

4.  Performance Attributes Matrix

·      Be sure it matches with performance attributes from (3) and (5)

5.  Selection System

·      Application form:  what attributes should be measured in it; what modifications you recommend to current form

·      Interview: Your structured interview form and rating guide

·      Reference checking guide/form

·      Paper-and-pencil tests: What (specific) tests would you recommend (unless non-applicable)?  Why do you recommend these tests over others that measure the same attributes (remember the standards of accuracy, practicality, fairness….)

·      Work sample/performance test (if applicable): Outline a performance test that could be developed to measure at least one relevant attribute.  (You do not need to develop a complete, operational test but you should at least describe what one would look like).

6.  Decision guide

·      Make sure this is understandable to the organization!
